Talking the rural context at AERA

Published by Adminidon on

Tomorrow, I finally get to present, my work on teaching mathematics for social justice within a rural context at the Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association in New Orleans.  The session (mentioned previously in this blog) is called “Off the Beaten Path: Social Justice Teaching in Uncommon Contexts” and is made up of a collection of researchers investigating teaching for social justice in settings not typically represented in the literature.  I think the rural context gets put to the side a bit and it will be exciting to talk about here in New Orleans.

I am also excited to hand out a business card or two…
