Amidon Planet Podcast E027: CREATE – Lessons from Tweed Recording CEO, Andrew Ratcliffe

Published by Adminidon on

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.

Plato

Plato puts an exclamation point on the importance of music. But in a time when traveling musicians are not roaming the streets, a person must trust those that record the music to provide access to the masses. But how does one do such a thing? And learn to do it well? Enter, Andrew Ratcliffe, and his vision of the Tweed Recording Audio Production School.

This is another episode in the CREATE series of the Amidon Planet Podcast that is seeking to tap into the expertise in the creative arts in order to figure out how teach better. I have observed through social media, and past conversations with Andrew, how Tweed Recording Audio Production School has come together. An initial curiousity was what lessons were learned in creating the school. My biggest question was how to teach in considering how to teach in balancing the technical with the creative.

I am excited about what I learned and I am excited about the opportunity to share it with the listeners of the podcast.

Enjoy!
